This is the best game I have ever played. I roped some of my friends in and we played a few matches. That has to be my happiest moment playing this game, minus all the shouting.Like I said, this is good, but not perfect.What I've noticed is that there isn't a lot to do when you've finished all tasks. At least with the ghosts there's a chat. But I know that isn't possible as that takes away what I believe to be the very essence of the game. Watching people move about at Admin isn't fun. Maybe a more in-depth Admin, which (minus the corridors) shows the exact positions of people. There could be a catch, as the Impostor could, while breaking the HUD, could not show anyone's position at Admin or Security?. I Love The Game! With Problems Now Gone After The Update! But I Still Have Problems. 1:(Con) Whenever I went to the Emergency Button and tried to click it, the button wouldn't work. I closed the tab out and went back again, and it said that I had no more Emergency Meetings, even though I clicked it and nothing happened. 2: (Pro) The Imposter can now use the Medbay to scan, and will make things more challenging for innocents/crewmates!! 3: (Con) Okay, why did you ever let the "10 seconds" to "20 seconds" be an option?? The owner was imposter in this game, and I was alone with him, and he killed me. The next thing you know, Purple and Yellow are dead besides me. None got the chance to report it in time. Then Brown (Owner), just walked around in the room, like he was taunting us. 3:(Pro) I like how there's more options to making a game!! I had fun with the options!! 4: (Con) But whenever you host the game, you can't change the amount of imposters afterwards. Along with Language. This guy, "My Name", spoke Russian, and he/she made a game, and whenever we all played, we had our first meeting right away. The owner clicked emergency meeting immediately. We were all asking "Who?". Then Black (Owner) said something in Russian. No one understood, and I left afterwards. 5: (Pro) Everything is okay with the WI-FI!! I think I said that already :') But if not, I am happy to say that the WI-FI is fine after a few weeks. 6: (Con) If some of you guys are reading this, probably thinking "What are the reviews??", then this is probably one long review for you. For all those people who play, do you have those moments in the game whenever you look in your tasks whenever you're a crewmate and you realize that you don't have the "Medbay: Scan" task, and then someone reported another person dead, and they blame you because you didn't scan?? Well, I have had those moments, and gosh, it's annoying. It took me an hour (It was so not. I thought it was one hour cause it was so long) to explain to the rest of the players in this Emergency Meeting that I was not the imposter (I wasn't imposter, really), and the reason why I didn't scan was because I didn't have the task. Then, in some other game, people were blaming this player who was Yellow that she was imposter because she didn't scan. I explained that this is uncommon for people when they're an innocent and they don't have that scan task to the rest. Yellow was actually the imposter, shockingly, and the rest were sorry. I told them some more that this happened to my sister, and they all chose to throw me out of the round (When I cut in and explained about Yellow and the Scan task), and I watched as a ghost, which was boring. OVERALL, I think the game is good but with some minor problems that they haven't noticed or didn't care about (which is what I am not thinking, I am just putting that last option down as an option) at all. (5/23/2019): Idk if this is already put down in my review, but I now hate this GAME. I died in reactor, and nobody came in. People were right outside, and THEY SAW MY DEAD BODY, but they didn't report. The imposter was right behind them and killed them. That's just plain non-intelligence to not report a dead body in the reactor, and just walk away. Their name was Squidshark. They seemed nice, ya know, but not really fast at reactions and/or not really smart. Probs not the second choice. Or, they might've been in shock, cause they don't like icky dead bodies. Whatever the issue was, they didn't report. They could've saved themselves if they reported my body. Not the greatest gameplay there... Free on mobile if you want to try it out. If you are looking for an in-depth deception game this isn't it but I would recommend Deceit on steam it is free and framing is viable/necessary. If you are looking for a fun short deception game without too many mechanics then this is a pretty good one. Having all the skins is cool too the steam version comes with them. Like I said this game is free on mobile so people will respond slower or have sloppier typing than pc. Also a lot of less than smart people play the game to either troll or just make dumb calls they think are good. Definitely worth $5 though for the time you can get out of it. In terms of gameplay crew is pretty simple, do the mindless tasks you are assigned and try to find out who is killing the rest of the crew. Two tools the crew have are the admin console which shows how many people are in each room (including corpses but it won't tell you they are dead) and the security cams gives live footage of 4 hallways. Impostor is a lot more fun I would say because you need to optimize sabotaging, killing, and venting so that the crew won't know its you. It is severely important to use all the abilities the impostor has in order to minimize risk of people knowing its you. Taking a vent to an empty room is a much better idea than walking out and risking someone walking passed you to find the body. Spectating is honestly sub-par and should have a function where you can teleport to players incase you lose them or some type of map where you can see where everyone is. Also ghosts need to do their objectives in order for the living to win so if you have a troll that dies and stays in the game but does not do objectives you still need to vote out impostor to win and can't just finish the tasks. If you are getting this game as a party game with friends I heavily recommend not using voice chat while you play. The limited communication makes it so much more of a tense situation and I have seen people play with voice chat. It is not too fun for impostors. "Im with X if I die its him" doesn't really have counterplay. Or if you do talk just do it during situations where you can type. You can also make lobbies with more than one impostor but only one can win just fine and most of the lobbies only offer 1 impostor.In terms of content you only get the 1 map, 1 style of gameplay and skins. Would it be cool if the devs keep supporting the game and add more content like skins/maps/tasks/mechanics? Yah of course but I don't think this is the type of game that does that in the long run. If they do it would be very cool and add to the amazing game but I don't see it happening.. Although it may seem simple at first, this is a really fun game. It's extremely easy to get a grasp on the mechanics but there's plenty of room to discover new strategies and work out different plans that keep the game fresh. The game is also free on mobile, which allows it to be used as a demo of sorts if you're interested in playing the Steam version, especially since it allows crossplay with other platforms.It's not all great, though. This is a game that requires a LOT of people to play: 4 people just to start a game and ideally 6-7 if you don't want games to end instantly. The public community for this game also suffers from a lot of issues that other free multiplayer games do, which means you'd probably want to play with people you know to ensure that the game is fair and fun.Definitely shows a lot of potential! TL;DR at the bottom of the reviewSo let me get this out of the way , Among Us is infact a decent game. It however is not worth the price tag , it just doesn't have enough content to justify it. Sure 4 bucks isn't that much money but this game is overall worth about 2 , if you're planning on playing exclusively with friends it MAY be worth it but being a Crewmate still feels like you're an errand boy who can't really do anything significant , I have a few ideas but I don't have anything in mind that could make the role genuinely interesting to play long-term , it is especially a significant issue because that is the role that you'll be playing during the majority of your playtime , being the Impostor and doing your best to deceive and keep a low profile is actually fairly enjoyable , the biggest problem I can see is that if people travel in groups (which in defense of the game rarely happens) it can make the match unwinnable for a single ImpostorThere is a single map (I think , it feels the same every round) and 3-10 players , 1-3 of them being imposters which have to kill the rest of the players and additionally being able to sabotge equipment as a distraction and hide in vents. Murder mystery in space is a fun and interesting concept but the game simply is just not worth 4 bucks in it's current state , cosmetics are cool and all but what I would like to see is a new map (preferably a bigger one , although the current one is not small) and more complex and varying tasks that could perhaps grant more points , being a crewmate after a while is very stale because you essentially just run around doing very simple errands until you A.get stabbed .B find someone else that has been stabbed or wait for someone else to do so or C.start an emergency meeting or wait for someone else to do so either out of boredom or because somebody is apparently acting "suspicious".I really like Innersloth as a developer and I like the core idea of this game as well but until more non-cosmetic content is added I cannot recommend this , they seem to be actively pushing out mini-patches so I believe (and hope) that we'll see something bigger soon.To sum it up:Pros ;-The game definitely has a charm-Crossplatform.-An interesting take on the idea of murder mystery.Cons :-Lack of content.-No counterplay , just baseless and vague accusations.The game is very simple which is not always a bad thing but in this case it is rendering the game un-fun long term , atleast for me , as another review that I saw said there's no real counterplay , just baseless accusations .
